Good Evening Wildcat Family,

We are pleased to inform you of the steps we are taking to increase the likelihood of your student having a highly qualified teacher in her/his classroom. Starting Monday, October 17, some students will therefore have an adjusted schedule. Please know that this adjustment will not negatively impact your child's potential academic success, as the grades for 1st quarter will be honored.

It is our intention to continue actively recruiting more highly qualified staff to meet our building needs and provide rigorous instruction to our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact any administrator at 913-627-7800.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Every day, in every classroom, all teachers and students

will be engaged in literacy-rich and student-centered learning.

Parents and community members are encouraged to join in

fulfilling this vision as members of the WHS Site Council.

The WHS Site Council meets on the

first Tuesday of every month from 5:00pm-6:00pm

in the Washington High School Library.
